Cooke-Haley Theater
Experience exceptional performances, lectures, and more in our beautiful 205-seat Cooke-Haley Theater. Our diverse performances include live theatre, comedy shows, and genre-spanning concerts, including our Steinway grand piano, musical icons, and CMA & Grammy Award winning artists.
Pamela Higgins Stone Art Studio
The Louisa Arts Center features a diverse selection of art and craft classes for all ages, ranging from beginner to advanced levels. Participants receive guided instruction by professional and experienced artists in an encouraging environment that fosters creativity and inspires artistic expression. Purcell Art Gallery
The Purcell Art Gallery is the epicenter of fine-art display within our community. Our gallery features dynamic exhibitions year-round, from nationally-recognized artists, respected art guilds, and local artists. Our Open Shows are held twice a year for artists of all ages and skill levels, and our ever-popular Student Art Show takes place every December in partnership with the Louisa County Public Schools to celebrate the budding youth artists in our community.
Throughout the year, the Louisa Arts Center welcomes the public in for open houses, free concerts, and presentations. We set up on the patio for free music and art events, and go out into the community to bring programs directly to you on our Arts Bus and at area parades and festivals!
The Louisa Arts Center is host to numerous opportunities for youth to get involved in the arts throughout the year. We offer visual art, theatre, and dance classes, as well as seasonal programs, including an annual theatre production and summer camps specializing in visual art, musical theatre, acting, singing, movement, technical theatre, and sketch comedy. Our Purcell Art Gallery hosts a student show each winter displaying artwork from students in Louisa County schools.
In addition to all we provide in the way of community events, art classes, performances, gallery exhibits, and more, we also offer the areas of our Center for rentals. If you are interested in renting our theatre, gallery, art studio classroom, catering kitchen, or anything else, reach out and let us know your specific needs and we can work out a rental agreement that works for your next events. Whether you need a place for a graduation party, a birthday event, or a stage for your group’s musical performance or presentation, we have something to fit your needs!
