Be part of the growing plein air movement! Come paint outdoors as we explore the fall colors on the beautiful grounds of the Louisa Arts Center. You can choose your subject or paint studies of more than one scene. We will begin by observing the color temperatures of light and shadow, the importance of planning with value sketches, mixing paint, and describing atmosphere. You will need to purchase your own supplies for this course (or bring friends and share the paint and paper). Choosing materials can be overwhelming so to make it easy for you, a supply list is ready for you. Simply click here to view the necessary class materials.
Note that some items are required and some are recommended. However, feel free to find your own equivalents if you prefer or use pastels if you have them! By owning your materials, you can continue your learning at home and return for more paint outs in the future.
