APRIL FOOLS!

While we couldn’t bring Elvis back from the dead or get Georges Seurat in town from 19th century France, we have been hard at work planning our 2023-24 season and we can’t wait to share it with you!

We would love to see you soon to check out the shows, classes, gallery, and community events we have coming up. Scroll down for more information about how you can get involved!

SHOWS

Experience exceptional performances, lectures, and more in our beautiful 205-seat Cooke-Haley Theater. Our diverse performances include live theatre, circus acts, comedy shows, and genre-spanning concerts, including our Steinway grand piano, musical icons, and CMA & Grammy Award winning artists.

SUMMER CAMPS

From theatre to art to joining an A/V crew, opportunities abound for students in our summer camps. During summer camp at the Louisa Arts Center, children learn all about the arts and have a blast doing it. At the end of each session, children even get to perform on stage or demonstrate what they’ve learned in their camp at a final showcase event!

STUDIO

We provide a wide variety of classes for artists of all ages and skill levels. Participants receive guided instruction by professional and experienced artists in an encouraging environment that fosters creativity and inspires artistic expression.

Join us in our bright and beautiful Pamela Higgins Stone Art Studio for classes all year around!

COMMUNITY EVENTS

Throughout the year, the Louisa Arts Center welcomes the public for open houses, free concerts, and free or low-cost presentations. We set up on the patio for free music and art events, and go out into the community to bring programs directly to you on our Arts Bus and at area parades and festivals!

This spring and summer we have free demonstrations on our stage, 6 free Music & Wine nights on our patio, Vendor Markets, a Youth Entrepreneur Fair, Summer Camp Shows and Showcases, and we’ll be taking the Arts Bus on the road!

DONATE

Support the Louisa Arts Center through our General Donation Fund, Sponsor an Event, Become a Season Sponsor, Give to our Scholarship Fund, or Donate toward our fundraising goals for special projects!

GALLERY

The Purcell Art Gallery is the epicenter of fine-art display within our community. Our gallery features dynamic exhibitions year-round, from nationally recognized artists, respected art guilds, and local artists. Our “open shows” are held each year for artists of all ages and levels, and our ever-popular Student Art Show takes place every December in partnership with Louisa County Public Schools to celebrate the budding youth artists in our community.

Our gallery is available free of charge to the public during box office hours, Tuesday – Friday, 11 AM – 2 PM and 1 hour before each performance in the Cooke-Haley Theater.

RENTALS
