Make Your Writing Soar!

Wednesday, June 3, 2026, from 2 to 3:30 p.m.

Second Floor Classroom

To register, we ask that you make a small donation of $5 to nonprofit Louisa Arts Center which has kindly offered us space for our programs. Thank you, and we look forward to seeing you!

What makes your writing soar? During our June 3 gathering, writer and artist C.S. Ellison will help us discover safe writing spaces, both mentally and physically. Enjoy discussion, writing prompts, and exploring new avenues of creativity. Whether you write poetry, prose, or some other genre, you’ll leave with takeaways you can incorporate in your writing. Come to write, come to connect, or just come to listen! Writers 18+ of all experience levels are welcome!

Register now!

*****Don’t forget! May 16th from Noon to 5 p.m. we’ll be at the Boozy Book Fair at Southern Revere Cellars. Come visit our table, pick up a copy of our anthology, and browse books by local authors! (There will be no regular meeting in May.)

Who We Are

Founded in November 2024 by Louisa County, Virginia, author and poet Katherine Mercurio Gotthardt, Write In Louisa (WIL) is a writers group designed for writers ages 18+ with any level of experience, from any background. From published authors to those simply interested in exploring different forms of self-expression, all are encouraged to join our open, friendly group to read, and if desired, receive helpful feedback.

We meet the first Wednesday of the month (unless otherwise specified) at Louisa Arts Center. Donation is $5 + associated fees. All donations support Louisa Arts Center, a nonprofit providing opportunities for the community to explore and enjoy the arts.
