An Evening with Duncan Faure
The South African-born Faure first tasted success as a teenager when his band, Rabbitt (also featuring guitarist Trevor Rabin of the band YES) earned gold and platinum albums, and several Grammy awards. To this day, they remain South Africa ‘s all-time biggest pop band. After Rabbitt, Faure fronted the Bay City Rollers in world tours. Duncan Faure’s amazing vocal range, style, depth of emotion, and his songwriting, have been compared to John Lennon, Paul McCartney, and Elton John. Faure ‘s single “24 Hours” was featured on Madonna’s “Who’s That Girl?” soundtrack, which sold 5 million copies, after which, Duncan went on to release several successful solo albums, all of which received critical acclaim, and significant South African airplay. Faure will pay tribute to Sir. Elton John and John Lennon in his acoustic performance at LAC.
