In Partnership with Louisa County Rotary Club
Barter Theater’s Production
Call of the Wild
For the fourteenth year, the Louisa County Rotary Club is sponsoring a performance
by the famed Barter Theater. This year’s presentation is Jack London’s
The Call of the Wild. One of the Barter’s most acclaimed productions, this
gripping tale focuses on a heroic dog named Buck who is kidnapped from
his master’s home and forced to serve as a sled dog during the Alaskan Gold
Rush. In his struggle to survive, he quickly learns the “law of club and fang” while
giving his unswerving loyalty to the man who saves his life. In the end, Buck must
choose between living in a man’s world and answering the call of the wild.
The Louisa Arts Center is proud to once again partner with the Rotary Club to
support this much anticipated annual event, a fundraiser that helps support the
many programs that assist our county’s school system and students. For more information on supported programs go to louisarotary.org.
In addition to the play, the evening activities include a Cocktail Reception with Light Hors D’Oeuvres (6:30 – 7:15PM) and a Dessert Coffee/Tea Social after the performance. The performance will begin at 7:30 PM.
Become a Sponsor for the evening and enjoy a exclusive Sponsors’ Reception from 6 – 7PM. For more information on becoming a Sponsor please see a local Rotary member or contact Christine Corrieri (540-967-0500) at the Louisa Arts Center.
