The Louisa Downtown Development Corporation
MISSION STATEMENT

Louisa Downtown Development Corporation (LDDC) is a 501(c) (3) non-profit, tax exempt Corporation. It was organized in 2004.

LDDC's mission is to enhance the quality of life and bring charitable and educational benefits to residents of the Town of Louisa, Virginia, its visitors and organizations. In concert with various entities including the Louisa Town Council and other segments of the local community, LDDC is charged with developing and implementing a plan for historic preservation, development of the arts and culture, public education, and outdoor recreation and open space preservation within the Town of Louisa.

The Board of Directors of the LDDC includes members of the local community, residents, artists, the Town Council, and business people.

In carrying out its mission, LDDC endeavors to assist the Town and its citizens by:
   Obtaining funds for the restoration of the Old Louisa High School, buildings, parks and                grounds
    Encouraging the arts and bringing diverse cultural experiences to the community                     through demonstrations, lectures, plays and art displays.

Contact and tell us what performance or artistic events you would like to see in the new Arts Center and Theater. Volunteers are needed to help develop programs and facilities, financing, and publicity.
