#GivingTuesday inspires people to take collaborative action to improve their local communities, give back in better, smarter ways to the charities and causes they celebrate and help create a better world. Occurring this year on November 29, #GivingTuesday is held annually on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving. It follows the widely recognized shopping events Black Friday and Cyber Monday to kick-off the holiday giving season in an effort of motivation allowing caring people to collectively improve their local communities by supporting their favorite nonprofit organizations.
Participating in this movement will give the Louisa Arts Center greater opportunity to amplify its outreach to accomplish its mission: To Enrich, Enhance and Inspire, by stimulating awareness and appreciation of the arts through varying visual art exhibitions, concerts, theater performances, studio classes, workshops, and lectures, to entertain and enlighten; while strengthening diversity, interpretive ability and interactive creativity for both youth and adults.
Watch our website and ArtsBlast during the next 5 weeks to see all the different ways we will be having fun getting the word out to Join the Movement and how you can help to bring in much needed financial support to the Louisa Arts Center through this national day of giving #GivingTuesday. Inspire people to support your cause #MyLAC and GIVE on Tuesday November 29th 2016.
